Why Should I Hire a Pinterest Manager? Top Reasons to Consider in 2025

Why should I hire a Pinterest manager?

If you’ve been asking yourself this question, you came to the right place!

Investing in Pinterest management is not a decision you should take lightly.

It can be the best investment you can make, or a very costly mistake.

As a Pinterest manager and a business owner myself, I have experience on both sides of the fence and can offer you insights that will help you make the right call.

I’ve been using Pinterest to drive traffic to my websites for over 10 years, and know first hand how much time and effort it takes to scale traffic with Pinterest.

So let’s answer your first question, and then I will cover other things you should consider before hiring a Pinterest manager.

Why Should I hire a Pinterest Manager?

There are two main reasons you should hire a Pinterest manager:

To save time and to grow your account more effectively.

Hiring a Pinterest manager means you can free up hours of your own time every week, and most importantly – get the account growing much faster than you would be on your own.

Not to mention – a lot of the work is very repetitive (yes, downright boring) and requires keeping up with the changing algorithm and visual layout preferences.

I know what you’re thinking – but I can do all of that myself, why should I pay someone else to do it?

Any smart business owner knows this: you cannot grow your business if you’re wasting your time doing all the low value tasks on a daily basis.

I know it may seem easy – just add some keywords and schedule pins, but growing your account on Pinterest is anything but easy, especially these days.

As a business owner, you should consider your time to be the most valuable asset, and for that reason alone, Pinterest management is worth consideration.

BONUS TIP: I highly recommend reading my favourite book on productivity called Buy Back Your Time by Dan Martell.

Real Cost of Pinterest Management

I will give you an example of how hiring out your Pinterest management makes economic sense.

Let’s assume your blog is monetized by Raptive or Mediavine, and together with affiliate and other earnings, you make approximately $15,000 per month working on your blog or business independently.

If you’re working full time, you’re essentially paying yourself $93 per hour (15k divided by 160 working hours per month) – that’s before deducting any expenses.

If you’re spending approximately 3-4 hours on Pinterest every week – which is the bare minimum if you want to grow your account, you’re essentially paying yourself a total of $1,488 every month to manage your own Pinterest account (16 hours per month x hourly rate $93).

Those 16 hours should be instead used for higher ROI activities for your business, which could be things like working on new products, new content, monetizing existing content better, reaching out for partnerships and others.

I cannot stress this enough – time is limited – use it wisely!

Pinterest Management vs Taking Pinterest Course

I’m all for learning and educating yourself, but when it comes to online courses, the marketplace is filled with landmines – people with zero expertise, fake reviews, and claims that they are unable to back up.

Trust me, I’ve been there and wasted hundreds of dollars on useless advice.

If you currently can’t afford Pinterest management, a course would be a good option if you’re confident that the person you’re learning from has enough experience.

Alternatively, you can find lots of great resources online, just make sure they are up to date – there is a lot of outdated and inaccurate content about Pinterest especially on Youtube.

As a quick start guide, you can get a mini Pinterest course by signing up to my newsletter below – this gives you a great head start and explains everything you need to know to succeed.

When To Avoid Hiring a Pinterest Manager

You shouldn’t think about hiring a Pinterest manager in these scenarios:

  • you cannot afford it
  • you don’t have an existing Pinterest account (its ok to start from scratch but you should be able to afford it)
  • your content is in a niche that doesn’t work on Pinterest (car repairs, medical advice, hunting etc)
  • you don’t have enough content to share on Pinterest (at least 50 published articles)

Things To Consider Before Hiring a Pinterest Manager

Before choosing the right Pinterest manager for your account, here are a few things you should consider:

  • cost of the service
  • duration of the contract – most require at least a 3 months commitment
  • volume of work included
  • any guarantees of work quality
  • reviews and recommendations
  • experience in a specific niche
  • flexibility to adapt to your requirements
